BSG Education Committee travel bursaries

The BSG Education Committee invites BSG members (nurses, scientists, and other associate BSG members in any area of gastroenterology as well as medical trainees) to apply for 8 travel bursaries. Of the 8, 4 are available to medical trainees and the other 4 to the other membership types. Each bursary of up to £500 is funded by the BSG and is intended to reimburse the costs of registration, travel and/or accommodation. Other costs (meals, poster preparation, visas etc.) will not be supported.

The BSG is solely responsible for all aspects of administering the BSG Travel Bursary Scheme, including Education Committee assessment of applications and selection of recipients.

Applications should be sent by 9am on Thursday 25 April to education@bsg.org.uk for consideration by the BSG Education Committee, by which decisions on recipients will be made. Applicants will be notified no later than Thursday 09 May 2019.

Successful applicants: bursaries will be paid after the relevant meeting on submission of a) the BSG claim form with supporting receipts, and b) a brief report outlining what you felt was most valuable about attending the conference, what you enjoyed the most, and what you learned that you could bring back to your daily work.
